University of Waterloo stabber’s COVID-19 isolation may have worsened mental state, sentencing court told | CBC News

Defence lawyers at the sentencing hearing for the former student who went onÂ a stabbing rampage in June 2023 at the University of Waterloo are asking the judge to consider his mental state. A psychologist presentedÂ a report onÂ Geovanny Villalba AlemanÂ to the Kitchener, Ont., court that says he had a poor sense of self-worth and found social interactions to be stressful.
