Chinese health officials are responding to an outbreak of a mosquito-borne disease that can cause severe joint pain. More than 7,000 cases of chikungunya have been reported in the Chinese province of Guangdong in recent weeks, with most in the southern city of Foshan. 

The NFL announced Tuesday night that it has entered into a nonbinding agreement with ESPN. Under the terms, ESPN will acquire NFL Network, NFL Fantasy and the rights to distribute the RedZone channel to cable and satellite operators and the league will get a 10 per cent equity stake in ESPN.
