A Hintonburg property owner’s battle with the city bureaucracy over a dead man’s eight-year-old water bill has prompted other residents to share similar stories that have left them on the hook for large interest payments.

Atefa Rahimi grew up in Afghanistan, where her relatives and wider sports discouraged her from running. Through tragedies of losing her mother, the rise of the Taliban and having to leave her country for Canada, running gave her a reason to keep going.
